WHY DON'T I SEE THE CHANGES I JUST MADE
IN MY TEMPLATE WHEN I VIEW MY SITE?

Most probably what you are seeing is what is stored in the computer's memory cache - and not what has just been published.

To clear your cache so you can see the work you have just done, do the following:

If you're using Internet Explorer, you must first know what version you're running. You can tell that by opening Internet Explorer and clicking the "help" menu item and then "about Internet Explorer". To clear "cache" with version 6, you would click "tools", and then "internet options". On the "general" tab, you'll see "delete files" in the box that opens. Click "delete files" and then "ok" to complete that deletion process. When that's completed, click on "settings" to the right of the "delete files" button. You'll see different options regarding checking for newer versions of stored pages. You should click "every visit to the page". Then click "ok" to exit back out.

To clear "cache" with version of Internet Explorer 7, you would click "tools", and then "internet options". On the "general" tab, you'll see "delete" in the browsing history section. Click "delete" and then "delete files" and "yes" to complete that deletion. When that's completed, click on "settings" to the right of the "delete" button on the general tab. You'll see different options regarding checking for newer versions of stored pages. You should click "every time I visit the web page". Then click "ok" to exit back out.

For Netscape, go to "Edit; then click "Preferences"; Click the plus sign next to the word "Advanced"; then click "Cache" then click the button that reads "Clear Memory Cache".

For FireFox, click "tools", "options", "privacy". To the right of "ask me before clearing private data", click on "clear now". You can then check "cache" and "clear private data".

If you are using some other browser and it is somewhat different, go to the Help in the browser and look for the subject cache.
